Parents: We’re Transitioning to Virtual Learning
Dear Capitol Families,
In alignment with the Louisiana Governor’s Office, Capitol be closing until at least April 13, 2020. Our top priority is the safety of our students and staff.
We are making the transition to distance learning beginning Wednesday, March 18. Monday, March 16 will be a staff workday to prepare for the launch of our distance learning program.
Tuesday, March 17 will be Chromebook distribution day.
IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW:

Students should be logging on to their Google Classrooms daily, as if they were physically at school.
If you do not have access to, Cox Connect2Compete, is offering free internet service for 30 days for eligible families.
Hard copy packets for work will be distributed as needed. If your student is in need of hard copies of work please email [email protected]
Students will receive at least three (3) grades per week, including an assessment. They must log on every day to complete their work individually.
Grades will be issued weekly. These grades will be uploaded to PowerSchool weekly.
Assignments will be issued daily.
Students can contact their teachers directly via Google Classroom.
For any instructional help please message teachers directly through Google classroom or their Capitol High School email address.
Again, Tuesday, March 17 will be Chromebook distribution day for all students who need a computer. The school will be open from 8 AM to 4 PM.
