The Digital Media Entertainment Technology Academy is a cutting-edge program designed to introduce and prepare students for the industry of digital media. Students can learn the foundation skills of shooting and editing digital video, graphic design, recording sound and using lighting for dramatic effect through regular use of Capitol’s newly designed Mac Lab, digital video cameras and desktop editing software.
Alongside these traditional elements, students also learn to use contemporary post-production software including AVID and Adobe Photoshop. These tools, combined with a theoretical background in visual storytelling, prepare students for work in industries ranging from film and television, sports media, local production studios and emerging jobs related to streaming video and on-line productions.
