Family Resources for Distance Learning
We are committed to ensuring our students and families have everything they need to ensure students’ distance learning experience is a success. To that end, we have compiled a list of resources and tools that are available to our Capitol High School Family during this time.
Below is a complete listing of resources for our families as we leverage our distance learning capabilities.
DISTANCE LEARNING PACKETS
Click here to access online packets. These packets are intended for students who were not able to get school issued Google Chromebooks and do not have access to a computer or tablet that would allow them to complete Google Classroom lessons. These lessons can be viewed on phones and will be distributed in print as necessary.
Click here to access the school’s staff directory. Students and families can utilize the information here to directly communicate with teachers and administrators regarding instruction and other pertinent updates.
TEACHER OFFICE HOURS
Our teachers are available via phone, text, email, and Google classroom to students during all hours of our regular school day. However, in these unique circumstances it is our goal to provide dedicated time to review material and provide support to students and families without devices and to students who may be doing their work outside of normal hours due to the extenuating circumstances. Click here to view office hours.
FREE INTERNET SERVICES
Cox is now offering their low-cost internet service, Connect2Compete, free for 30 days including premium remote desktop support. To get these students an internet connection as fast as possible, Cox wants to fast-tract the qualification process. Click here to apply for services.
