Final Exam Survival Guide: How to Study Smart
Exams season is approaching us! Don’t get caught slipping and end up stressed because you waited until the last minute to study. Here are five quick tips on how to study and ace it like a boss.
Manage your time wisely. Time management is a lesson you will need beyond high school and college. Start studying early so you won’t have to cram information in your noggin at the last minute. Also, creating a schedule (and following it) for your study sessions and study breaks is an effective technique.
Rewrite your notes. This may sound like a tedious method, but rewriting your notes will jog your memory and allow you to revisit information that you may have forgotten.
Health comes first. Staying well-rested and eating healthy meals will keep you energized and focused for your next study session. On the other hand, eating junk food and staying up all night will only leave you unmotivated and irritable.
Study in a group. When paired with the right people, studying with your peers can be beneficial. You can compare notes and quiz each other on the test material.
Do not study in your bed. I repeat, do not study in your bed! Your bed should be a place of relaxation. Also, you might have endless distractions in your room, such as your TV or siblings. Try studying at your local library.
